• Accident - an event which causes injury, damage to property or both.
• Incident - an event which does not cause injury or damage but could do so.

Any incident in laboratory should be reported to the Operation group.

Reports can be accessed here (only for admin).

There are two ways to go depending on incident seriousness.

Serious incident User needs help

Less serious incident User can handle consequences

Request help by:

- Contact Operation group

- Use Yellow Alarm button

- Ask other users

Take care about consequences

e.g. clean up spilled chemicals

Take care about consequences

If needed, contact medical care and contact user employer.

Prepare Incident report using the IA system

Finalize incident report

link to portal.

Send report to user employer.

Analyse report and suggest

rules/routines improvements.

Report the incident to appropiate

authority if needed.
